The majority of our team is made up of former US Special Operations Operators and Special Unit Operators. These various backgrounds include: – US Special Forces, Law Enforcement Special Units, SOF SME Contractors, as well as other uniquely skilled and highly experienced personnel complementing all necessities for our customers. Members of our team possess and maintain Secret or Top-Secret clearances.

Also, our team members have planned and executed US Embassy threat vulnerability assessments and non-combative evacuation operations (NEO) of US Embassies. Members of our group regularly developed and performed strategic intelligence collection and analysis in support of environmental design objectives for the US intelligence community and the Department of Defense. These environment-shaping practices resulted in enhanced security platforms for the US Department of State facilities worldwide. Members of the team were also responsible for the regional force protection practices and procedures throughout the Afghanistan Theater for the Department of Defense.
The Team Behind OSIG
RJ is a managing member of Operational Strategic Innovations Group, LLC. RJ came from humble beginnings growing up in central California. His family has a long history of service to our country in both the military and law enforcement communities. In 2006, RJ was approached by US Special Forces to be a part of a Special Unit in developing, designing and implementing specialized platforms for operators working in Special Activity programs (ASO). As a program manager, RJ successfully designed, managed, and implemented ASO programs for use by Special Forces Personnel operating alone or in small groups in austere environments. RJ has successfully completed US SOF contracts on both a national and international level.

RJ
JOHN F.
John enlisted in the US Army in 1990 as a Mobile Subscriber Equipment Operator (31F) assigned to Germany. In 1992 John joined the US Army Special Forces branch as a Communications Sergeant (18E) and was reassigned to an overseas contingency unit in Stuttgart, Germany. He conducted multiple peacekeeping operations throughout the Baltics, Noncombatant Operations in Africa & national man-hunts in the US. After 9/11 John was reassigned to Special Projects Operations throughout the Middle-East and Africa. In 2005 John became a Special Forces Warrant Officer and began leading teams/companies/battalions in unconventional warfare, special activities, combat operations, inter-agency activities and other clandestine operations. After John's retirement in 2016 he has decided to take on a teaching role in hopes to help pass on his experience and unique specialties.
Master Sergeant J.B., raised in Chicago, Illinois, volunteered for military service in March of 1997 and continued for 25 years. His assignments with Special Forces include: Medical Sergeant, SFG (A) - 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne); Advanced Special Operations Detachment NCOIC, OTC, GSB, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne); Senior Medical Sergeant, SFG(A) - 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne); Special Warfare Training Center; TF-10 S-3 Operations NCOIC Panzer Kaserne, Germany; Team Sergeant, Operational Detachment A-0121 - B Company, 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). In addition, MSG J.B. maintains an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
An overview of Jan’s military education includes: Basic Airborne Course, Primary Leadership Development Course; the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course; Special Forces; Qualification Course; Survival, Evasion; Resistance, and Escape Course; Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course; Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course; Special Operations Target Interdiction Course; Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance, Target Analysis and Exploitation Techniques Course (SFARTAETC); Special Forces Sniper Course; Static Line Jumpmaster Course; and Military Free Fall Parachutist Course.
His awards and decorations reflect his service during NATO Kosovo Forces, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan, Joint Combined Exercise and Training events throughout the 10th SFG(A) AOR, and Operation Atlantic Resolve. The following deployments include the Combat Infantry Badge, Combat Medical Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, and 2 Bronze Star Medals.
BOGIE
DAVE D.
Dave enlisted in the Marine Corp at 18 years of age as a Marine Rifleman (0311). Succeeding in his early career, Dave was handed additional duties as a small boat Coxswain (8111) and later as a Rifle and Pistol instructor. After four and half years Dave re-enlisted into the US Army as a Rocket Artillery (13M) Soldier and served during the invasion of Iraq 2003'. He Joined the US Army Special Forces in 2004' and served the remainder of his career as a weapon specialist deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan countless times. In addition, Dave also has countless deployments in joint operations throughout Africa to include joint exercises in Europe. After sustaining numerous injuries incurred during deployments, Dave was medically retired after 10+ years of Special Forces service in 2016' as a Sergeant First Class.
An overview of Dave’s military education includes Special Forces Weapons Sergeant (18B); Special Forces Sniper Course graduate; Advanced Special Operations tactics and techniques Level II; Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Techniques Engagement Course (Aka: SFARTEC); Airborne Jump Master; Language of focus (Modern Standard Arabic).
Dr. Lawson is the medical advisor for OSIG medical courses. Dr. Lawson is a board-certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons obtaining a medical degree from UC San Francisco and completed surgical training at the UC San Francisco/Fresno Medical Education Program.
Wanting to contribute to the success of our military fighting force, Dr. Lawson joined the US Army and spent 8 years in the US Army reserve receiving the rank of Major. He spent 6 of those years as the Officer in charge of the 1st Forward Surgical Team where he earned his combat patch while deployed to Iraq. In addition, he is a graduate of the Army Trauma Training Center and the Joint Combat Trauma Management Course.
Dr. Lawson is currently practicing medicine in Portland Oregon as a Chief of Surgery and General Surgeon.

Julie joined our team 2018 and has been an invaluable member of our organization since that time. Julie has worked with and instructed numerous law enforcement agencies, multi-agency task forces, and corporate clients during her time with our organization. She is currently classified as the Operations Manager of OSIG where she handles a wide array of the company’s overall operational and strategic activities.

Dominic is a successful business owner and entrepreneur. His drive and foresight have led him to become a pillar in the local business industry at an age much younger than what is typical of someone with his success. Although new to this industry, Dominic's keen business instincts and attention to detail are invaluable qualities for any business. Although his focus is business management for OSIG, Dominic is quickly integrating himself in building skill sets in the core services provided by our company.
