Surveillance Course (CA P.O.S.T. Certified)
Law Enforcement ONLY Training
OSIG will be running this course in conjunction with Advanced Combat Evolutions.
This 3-day training is comprised of approximately 8 hours of classroom and 16 hours of hands-on, “street” training consisting of surveillance fundamentals that will complement the practitioner’s ability to conduct law enforcement observation activities. Surveillance skills are a mission-essential task in the conduct of close observation and the expertise obtained in surveillance operations are directly transferable for personnel apprehension, intelligence collection or the development of a suspect’s daily pattern of life. Our course allows for fine-tuning in accordance with the client’s operational needs, while complimenting existing capabilities. All techniques will be executed both mounted and dismounted within the cities of Fresno and Clovis, California only. The end state of the participating members will be enhanced knowledge base and experience conducting undercover surveillance operations.
- Fundamentals of surveillance
- Complexities of multi-mode surveillance
- Situational awareness in support of operational security
- Effective attire and demeanor
- Communications – technical & non-technical, including reporting
- Basic surveillance methods utilized, “environment dependent”
- Team Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) development
This course is limited to 12 attendees in order to ensure students get plenty of reps and maximize hands on experience.
